A major sporting legacy
Dinamo belongs to the historic elite of Albanian football, with a strong identity, a winning tradition and a loyal following.
Founded on 18 February 1950 and debuting in the league on 3 March 1950, Dinamo quickly became a defining force in Albanian football. The club won four consecutive league titles from 1950 to 1953 and five consecutive cups from 1950 to 1954, setting high standards from the very beginning.
The first team included names such as Qemal Vogli, Qamil Teliti, Skënder Jareci, Hamdi Bakalli and Pal Mirashi, figures who helped shape the club's early identity.
Across the decades, Dinamo built a distinct reputation for technical football, strong organisation and a competitive culture. Today FC Dinamo City represents the continuity of that legacy together with a modern project of clear sporting and institutional ambition.
